Arrest me with your smile, I'm not thinking about bended knee
make my body burn, make my stomach bleed
some of us are spoiled, some of us are broke
all my bridges burned, and all my money smoked
None of my time is mine, some of it is yours
hours slip through my veins, and leak out my pores
I don't know where I am, none of the past seems real
I'm stumbling where I stand, I sin what time I steal
You never call to ask "how are you?"
but you're not far away now are you?
you've never let me down before
still I want to know you more

Maze
04:23
|

Hey brother, won't you tell me what you've done?
Why bother her? Shouldn't you be on the run?
It ain't work if it's all fun
It ain't life if it's all done
Born again, but I'm still lost
Paying dues, but what's the cost?
Sometimes it's hard to see
through this maze that I weave
Hey brother, won't you show her what you've done?
Why bother her? Consequences have you stunned

Age
04:48
|
|||
Is it just me or is this a loaded game?
Broke my heart yet I feel the same
because I'm sick of growing older,
and my blood runs colder with age
Could you play them for a fool?
Do you hate them because they're cool?
When will you get revenge?
Will you care when it ends?
Everybody look at me
I'm so fresh in my white tee
Does that mean I think I'm black,
and if so, how would you react?
Is it just me or is this a loaded game?
Broke my heart yet I feel the same
because I'm sick of going nowhere,
and my blood runs colder with age

Arbitrary

If you love it as much as her
but you need both in your world
in two directions you're pulled
If you're tired of this shit
yet you can't swim out of it
your pot is over full
Should've known better still
it shouldn't be my fault
even if I crumble to the asphalt
should've known a better way
I should've had a better lie
you never thought for me,
and I never thought twice
If you're worth more than you earn
and you know more than you've learned
but you're bogged down by the mud
once you've stumbled in this trap
know there is no crossing back
the bridge wiped out in the flood
If you're longing for your past
because it's better than this crass
new existence that you know
roller coaster you're front row
yet you long to take it slow
just remember that time has passed

Carmelita
02:42
|
|||
I hear mariachi static on my radio
and them tubes they glow in the dark
I'm there with her in Ensenada
while I'm here in Morrell Park
Carmelita, hold me tighter
I think I'm sinking down
I'm about to go drink Natty Boh
on the outskirts if town
Well I've pawned my Smith and Wesson
now I've headed to meet my dude
he's got a store on St. Paul street
near Yum Yum's Chinese food
Well I'm sitting here playing solitaire
because I can't play Russian roulette
and there ain't no good way to tell you this
but I drank up your welfare check

Scooby

Nobody told me, nobody came
and I do believe I've never been sane
and all my friends say that I've lost touch
and I guess I'm liked, but I want to be loved
can you reach me still?
I doubt you ever will
Nobody told me, nobody cares
and I do believe I'm reaching despair
and all I do is never enough
and everyone's just so big and tough
can you reach me still?
I doubt you ever will
Oh moonlight, carve my name into your side
oh moonlight, can't nobody wrong my write
oh moonlight, carve my name into your side
oh moonlight, can't nobody down my high
until you get your fill
I doubt you ever will
Nobody told me, it's never alright
I'm too tired, I don't want to fight
and all I do is never enough
and everything seems so big and tough
can you reach me still?
I hope you never will
Oh moonlight, call my name

Snowy Day In April
03:13
|
|||
Say it to their face
you know we have not moved, but lost our place
it seeps into your skin
and no, it never hurts when it begins
the prophecy is now
you need to find a where and why and how
do it for your health
you need to find a way to love yourself
Caught up in the race
it seems like we push and pull, but have no pace
there's nowhere to begin
it's just that no one cares and it's a sin
hypocrisy now
you get hurt or screwed some way, somehow
do it for the wealth
you know it's so much fun to sell yourself
Every moment that I never saw, or I never followed through
was every time I thought I never could, whatever would I do?

Roll the Dice
03:19
|
|||
If you have a lot to live for, name your price
if you have a single reason, list it twice
you'll see what you live for
you'll see because you're forced
If you don't have much to live for, roll the dice
drunk off of poor decisions and bad advice
you're free to gain more
you're free because you're forced
well I know now, no
I tried it once I don't regret it
I can't believe you're so upset
now I know I can't afford to do it again
Well I gambled once, I don't regret it
I can't believe I'm so in debt
now I know I can't afford to do it again

Soup Hands Baltimore, Maryland
Soup Hands is Mike McKinley, Curtis Rhoades, and formerly Geeh.
All songs we're originally written acoustically by Mike, and
then brought to Soup Hands to make into something mind blowing.
Curtis programmed the drums and then added heavy guitars, then bass was layered by Geeh. After this, the finishing spices of keys and synth were added, and now you have You Don't Need Cookies To Be Fortunate.
